Cintāmaṇicakra Special Edition by Horisada
This is my second opportunity to work with Houju tattoo machines, machines that I have been using for tattooing for several years, so for me it is an honor to be part of this new project
In the first "Houju tattoo machine Horisada Edition", I made a painting of the Shingon Buddhist Triad, placing the letter A and the Moon instead of Mahavairoccana; My goal was that with the money raised from the sale of Maquinas, I could donate a sculpture of Mahavairocana to the Fudo-ji temple in Argentina of which I am a part; and we got it!
On this occasion, I want to briefly explain about the design of this new machine.
"Houju" is a Jewel, which in Sanskrit we can understand by "Cintāmaṇi"
This jewel among other things symbolizes the fulfillment of wishes, so we can also observe it as the fulfillment of our goals and vows, so having managed to buy the sculpture of Mahavairoccana with the previous edition, I try to show today the fulfillment of the vows and goals with this design
Ārya Cintāmaṇicakra Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva, who belongs to the Lotus Assembly, sits on a lotus pedestal, which is depicted on the back of the machine.
The barrier of Vajras protect it, (wisdom), so the barrier is located going around the lotus
On the main painting of the machine, place the typical Buddhist flag with the 5 colors of the Stupa representing the body of the Dharmadhatu
And in the center a "Karajishi", or "Lion" since the Buddhist Teaching in its beginning was called "The Roar of the Lion" for its great strength in the message
In turn, in this case, the Lion that produces the Roar, has to do with the way of preaching the Doctrine being the "Speaks".
Amitayus Tathagatha, who expresses the Dharma in this way, is considered the Master of the Lotus Assembly, so in the cutting-edge press of the machine is the mantra of a single letter or "Bonji" of Amitayus "KIRIKU"
As you can see, the image of Cintāmaṇicakra is hidden behind all this symbology, so we will add a Noren with a painting he makes of Cintāmaṇicakra so that they can know his image.
This Archetype of meditation with its 6 arms, represents that with great compassion we fulfill the "desires, vows, missions" of saving from the 6 undesirable states of samsara all sentient beings.
May this machine inspire you in every job, my best wishes to you and the entire team of Houju tattoo machines
